THE BEAUTY AND THE BLINDMAN
This musical duet is a representation that includes songs and dances from the Tuscan folk tradition of the 18th and 19th centuries. The performance recreates the atmosphere of these customary rural gatherings through traditional skits, ditties and songs told with irony, humour and satire, so typical of the Tuscan character.
The artists are: Stefano Iacopossi—vocals, saxophones, clarinet, guitar
Donata Copertini Amati—vocals, piano accordion, violin
The artistic techniques include live music and street theatre and can be performed in Italian, English, or German, but the musical lyrics are in Italian.

THE GIANTS OF FANTASY

This is a colourful meandering parade or a stationery performance on stilts, of great visual impact accompanied by live music. Our wide variety of multi-coloured costumes enable us to adapt our production to any special occasion: clowns on stilts in tails, alien garbs or medieval dress. We can also enliven the holiday festivities with their many associated characters. The number of artists involved varies according to the needs and the location. The number of stilt men can vary from 3 to 7 and the musicians from to 2 to 4.
The artists are: varies.
The artistic techniques used include stilt men, dancing, and live music.

ETNA—THE WHITE DRAGON’S ART OF FIRE

This fusion of art and street performance will both delight and amaze you in its essential simplicity. In a rhythm which is incessant and ancestral, life renews itself in a propitious rite, an exchange of energy, Fire. Fire sparks into new beings and from these illuminated bodies, again, new forms are born. The street artists’ skills will ignite your imagination. With props such as wings, fans, batons, swords, ropes and chains, accompanied by music and poetry, the primal force is evoked.
I, the White Dragon, with sorcery, dance and talent, will charm these instruments. I will inflame the spirit, conjure fear, and vanish the troubles of those who behold me. The earth will blaze, the air explode with sparks, cinder and smoke, as my magic fire changes colour and form.”

The artist is Antonio Bonura and his techniques include dance, street theatre, and fire art. (watch the video)

THE JESTERS

These delightful characters from our medieval past still entertain us with their gags and games. During events, as is the tradition of Cantieri Ikrea, actors mingle with the spectators with an approach of "being” rather than performing. The result is one of great authenticity and spontaneous effect. These performances are often timed at the welcoming stage of the tour or around the table. However, this light-hearted event can be enjoyed at any chosen place or time during the tour.

The artists vary and the techniques used are stilts, juggling and traditional Italian “Commedia dell’arte” theatre.

PAOLO THE MAGICIAN

Paolo will charm you with his witty banter and thrill with his tricks and illusions. During many years of professional experience he has developed a rich and varied repertoire of magic classics that conjures delight in both young and old.

The artist is Paolo Mannari and his techniques include improvisation with the audience, magic tricks and illusions.

EARTH AND AIR
With actress Gila Manetti

Gila cleverly portrays a bizarre character that inhabits a castle in the years of old. She is both servant and noble lady of the castle and tells her anecdotes of life from both perspectives. As if in a fairytale, her stories will transport into times past, but you will discover the themes and values of these two very different lives are still relevant today.
As if in an apparition, we meet two women, two aspects of our historical journey: a peasant woman in a feudal existence, maybe a witch, as crude as the earth she tills and labours; a Lady whose feet never touch the ground but tread over hand-knotted carpets. Her thoughts are not of the real world and she dreams of happiness elsewhere.
